Linus will be back on stage in the US, in a play called "Middletown

Linus Roache and Heather Burns are set to star in Will Eno's Middletown, which will begin previews on October 6 at the Vineyard Theatre. Ken Rus Schmoll will direct the production.

The play, set in a small American Town, focuses on the friendship that develops between a long-time resident (played by Roache) and a new arrival (to be played by Burns) and the journey through this world and beyond that they take together. Additional casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.

Roache's many stage credits include Coriolanus and Richard II opposite Ralph Fiennes. He may be best known from his Golden Globe-nominated portrayal of Robert F. Kennedy in the HBO mini-series RFK and from his work as Asst D.A. Michael Cutler on Law & Order. His other film and television credits include Wings of a Dove, Hart's War, The Gathering Storm, and Kidnapped, among others.

Burns has been seen Off-Broadway in The Marriage of Bette and Boo, Fran's Bed, and Writer's Block and in the West End in This Is Our Youth. She currently stars in the HBO series Bored to Death. Among her other screen credits are Miss Congeniality, Bewitched, Two Weeks Notice, You've Got Mail, and the forthcoming What's Your Number?.
